September 1, 2009. Death Toll from Swine Reaches 100 in India

The death toll from the A/H1N1 flu virus in India crossed 100 on September 1st, with deaths reported in at least eight Indian cities across India, local media reported. Officials claimed that nearly 4,000 cases of the virus have been reported in the country. Maharashtra state recorded the highest number of deaths (48), followed by Tamil Nadu state (15) and Delhi (12).
