August 21, 2009. Health Ministry confirms first swine flu death in United Arab Emirates

The health ministry confirmed the first official death from swine flu in the late evening hours of August 20th, when a 63-year-old Indian national died in the hospital while being treated for an H1N1 infection. Doctors at the facility claim that the victim waited too long to report to the hospital and the virus had spread to his respiratory system.
