August 17, 2009. Democratic Republic of Congo Confirms First Case of Swine Flu

A Katanga province businessman returning from South Africa was confirmed the Democratic Republic of Congo's first A/H1N1 case on August 17th. The patient was immediately sent to the hospital to receive treatment and his condition allegedly improved.
