August 4, 2009. India Reports First Death Related to H1N1 Flu

A 14-year-old girl in the western city of Pune became the first reported fatality from A/H1N1 flu virus, also known as swine flu, in India, local officials announced on August 3rd. There are more than 500 confirmed cases of the virus across the country.
