July 20, 2009. Students Diagnosed with Swine Flu Remain Quarantined in China

SOURCE:Air Security International

Reports on 20 July 2009 indicate that 107 students from the United Kingdom have been quarantined in a Beijing hotel after several of the students were diagnosed with the A/H1N1 swine flu virus. Nine students are currently hospitalized. A group of U.S. students has also reportedly been quarantined in Beijing at the same hotel. Tight restrictions remain a concern in China due to the level and severity of the country's regulations, including identifying infected persons, strict quarantine measures and passenger tracking.
