May 4, 2009. Government Warning Issued for United Kingdom

On 1 May 2009 the U.S. Embassy in London issued the following Warden Message: "This Warden Message alerts U.S. citizens to the latest information regarding human cases of 2009-H1N1 Influenza, sometimes referred to as swine flu. The United Kingdom Department of Health reported eight confirmed cases as of April 30. Local authorities have instituted a variety of response measures, including a campaign to disseminate 2009-H1N1 Influenza related information to the public. No travel restrictions have been imposed."
