May 4, 2009. Government Warning Issued for Ireland

On 1 May 2009 the U.S. Embassy in Dublin issued the following Warden Message: "This Warden Message alerts U.S. citizens to the latest information regarding human cases of 2009-H1N1 Influenza, sometimes referred to as swine flu. The Irish Health Service Executive reports one 'probable' case of 2009-H1N1 Influenza, pending confirmation of test results. Local authorities continue to stock up on antiviral medication and have posted notices at airports and seaports to provide information to travelers heading to affected areas."
