January 30, 2013. 4.2 magnitude quake shakes Puno, Peru

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Puno region on the morning of January 29th, Peru's Geophysical Institute reported. The epicenter of the quake was 38 kilometers (27 miles) southwest of the city of Puno), and no injuries or damages were immediately reported. Puno is a popular tourist destination for international travelers due to its proximity to the high altitude Lake Titicaca on the country's border with Bolivia.
