May 29, 2012. New quake strikes northern Italy, at least 10 dead

At least 10 people were killed and several others were trapped under rubble when a new earthquake struck the Emilia region of northern Italy, local media said on May 29th. All the deaths were in the Modena area. Three were killed when an industrial shed collapsed in Medolla. Three were killed in San Felice, two in Mirandola, and one in Cavezzo. The earthquake reached a strength of 5.8 on the Richter scale and struck the same area affected by an earthquake 10 days earlier. Milan and Bologna were also shaken too, with people fleeing from buildings.
