May 7, 2012. Earthquake strikes Azerbaijan's Zagatala region

At least 15 people were injured and 1,360 homes destroyed in a magnitude 5.5 earthquake in the Zagatala region of Azerbaijan on May 7th, local media said. The earthquake caused significant damage in Mukhak, Gimikh, Bazar, Tala villages of Zagatala and Gulluk and Lakit villages of Gakh. An Azerbaijani seismologist warned that three or four earthquakes were likely to strike the South Caucasus region in the near future.
