January 13, 2012. Minor quake hits Sumatra, Indonesia

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted Sumatra Island on January 13th, reported the Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Agency. The epicenter was located 321km (200.6 miles) southwest Simeulu of Aceh province with the depth at 27km (16.87 miles). There were no immediate reports of infrastructural damage or human casualties.
