The death toll from a magnitude 5.6 earthquake in eastern Turkey rose to 13 on November 11th after officials found more bodies in the rubble, reports indicated. More people, however, remain missing beneath collapsed buildings. The earthquake has added to the crisis caused by the October 23rd earthquake that killed about 600 people in the same area, as people who had previously stayed at home were searching for temporary housing as well. Among the 25 buildings that collapsed in the November 9th earthquake were two hotels where many aid workers and journalists were staying. At least one Japanese doctor died in the latest earthquake.
