Rescue teams rushed to find dozens of people trapped in rubble after a 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Turkey, killing at least nine people, reports indicated on November 10th. At least 25 buildings collapsed in the quake, including a six-story hotel in Van, which housed many journalists and aid workers. Emergency workers said 23 people were rescued alive from the rubble, but that up to 100 remained unaccounted for.
