All U.S. citizens are advised by the U.S. Embassy that there is a violent demonstration occurring in downtown Port-au-Prince near Champ-De-Mars. The protesters have erected burning barricades and are throwing rocks and other objects. The Haitian National Police (HNP) are on scene and have dispersed tear gas. Confrontations are expected to continue and therefore all travel to downtown Port-au-Prince should be rescheduled and all travel to Cite Soleil, Carrefour, Croix des Bouquets, and lower Delmas neighborhoods should be rescheduled as well.
