August 12, 2011. Several injured in earthquake in China

A moderate earthquake hit the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region shortly after 1800 local time on August 11th. The U.S. Geological Service estimated the quake's magnitude at 5.2; however, the Chinese state monitoring center registered it at 5.8. The quake was centered near Atux, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, causing significant damages to homes. At least 26 people were injured.
