At least seven people were injured when a magnitude-5.4 earthquake struck central Japan on June 30th, with no immediate reports of major damages, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. The earthquake centered in Nagano prefecture, about 120km (75 miles) from Tokyo. The victims suffered light injuries from falling objects. About 20% of the world's earthquakes of magnitude 6.0 or greater are reported in Japan.
