The president of an embattled Japanese energy company was taken to the hospital on March 30th after suffering from high blood pressure and dizziness, a company spokesperson said. The company has struggled to avert a complete meltdown of its Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant since the March 11th earthquake and tsunami shut down the plant's power, back-up generators, and reactor cooling systems. The firm's chairman took over the helm of the firm while the president was hospitalized. The energy company suffered significant share losses in recent weeks, with the government considering an outright nationalization of the troubled energy company.
