U.S. Consulate General Auckland released the following Warden Message on February 27, 2011:

The U.S. Embassy is confirming the safety of all U.S. Citizens who may have been affected by the earthquake in Christchurch. If you are in contact with any Americans and they have not already checked in with us, please have them contact our emergency lines immediately or email details to chchquake@state.gov.
