Officials evacuated some 64,500 people from their homes in a remote border area of Yunnan province after a magnitude 4.8 earthquake damaged some 678 homes and destroyed one, state-controlled media said on February 2nd. Officials reported no casualties in the quake, which struck in Dehong prefecture near the border with Myanmar.
