November 12, 2010. Cholera toll continues to rise in Haiti

Some 800 people have now died from cholera in Haiti, according to reports on November 11th. U.S. medical experts are now expressing concern about risk of transmission to the U.S. and other countries. Epidemiologists from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) say the emergency is worsening, with death jumping from 640 to 800 in only two days.
