November 3, 2010. Earthquake hits central Serbia

A moderate earthquake hit central Serbia, killing two people and injuring at least 50 others, according to reports on November 3rd. The temblor had a magnitude of 5.3 and its epicenter was near the city of Kraljevo, some 150km (94 miles) south-west of Belgrade. Some buildings, including the local hospital, were slightly damaged during the quake and some homes were without water and electricity. Rescue teams were deployed to assist the town of nearly 70,000 people.
