Protesters threw rocks at a cholera treatment center as it was preparing to open in St. Marc on October 26th, as concerns for a cholera outbreak remain. Some 300 students said they feared the clinic would continue to spread the disease as a week-old epidemic has killed 284 people and infected 3,769 others already. UN peacekeepers arrived with riot shields to reinforce police and fired warning shots. Officials say they will not open the clinic in the neighborhood, but will instead move it to another area in the city.
