March 12, 2010. Tsunami alert called off following strong quake in Chile

A tsunami alert issued on March 11th following a strong 6.9 magnitude earthquake was called off during the afternoon, according to reports. Authorities say there were no reports of casualties or significant damage from the latest earthquake, which was followed by two aftershocks.
