February 18, 2010. Magnitude 6.7 earthquake rattles Russia, China, and North Korea border region

A magnitude 6.7 on the Richter scale earthquake struck about 1,240km (770 miles) away from Beijing near the border region of Russia, North Korea and China in Jilin province, reports indicated on February 18th. Although residents of Beijing did not feel the quake, it made buildings sway in the Chinese capital, while residents of the Chinese provinces of Heilongjiang and Jilin and of North and South Korea felt the quake but reported no casualties or major damage.
