Authorities are predicting an active hurricane season in 2010, which is expected to cause further destruction to Haiti. According to U.S. weather experts on February 11th, the upcoming hurricane season is expected to be more active than average and there is a 49% chance that a tropical storm will track close to Haiti this year.
On February 11th, the country was hit by a significant rain storm, which collapsed dozens of makeshift homes that have popped up since the January 12th earthquake, highlighting the high risk of further damages due to the country's critically weak infrastructure at this time.
