On September 28th, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake left at least 15 dead in the southwestern province of Balochistan, reports indicated. Officials said that the death toll was expected to rise. The epicenters of the two tremors, the first taking place on September 24th, were about 30km (19 miles) apart. The second quake was not an aftershock but an independent earthquake, according to the director of the National Seismic Center of Pakistan.
