Chinese state-controlled media said that about seven tourists were injured and some 300 others evacuated from two counties in Yunnan province after earthquakes struck the area on August 28th and 31st, reports indicated on September 1st. Falling rocks injured the three tourists on four coach buses after a 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Yunnan-Sichuan border area. The counties of Shangri-La and Deqen in Yunnan Province and Derong County in Sichuan Province were particularly affected by the earthquakes.
