August 13, 2013. Magnitude-6.2 quake hits near Piura, Peru

A magnitude-6.2 earthquake shook western Peru on the morning of August 12th, sources said. The tremor occurred 60 miles (97 km) off of the coast of Piura, a city of approximately 100,000 residents. No injuries or damages were immediately reported.
