Miners in Bulgaria planned a general strike to protest for improved safety measures and higher compensation, media sources said on August 6th. The move comes after four miners were killed when a coal mine collapsed on July 16th. The rallies would likely be scheduled after Bulgaria's parliament returned from recess on September 4th.
