A magnitude-5.3 earthquake rocked the New Zealand capital city of Wellington on July 19th, with workers scrambling for cover, but no serious damage reported, local media said. The earthquake struck about 46km (29 miles) southwest of Wellington at a depth of 16km (9.9 miles).
