June 19, 2013. Second quake strikes Lima region, tsunami warning issued

The second earthquake in two days was registered in the Lima region, Peru's Geophysical Institute said on June 18th. The June 17th quake measured magnitude-4.0, while the most recent temblor was a marnitude-5.1 on the Richter scale. As the quakes occurred offshore, there was a tsunami warning issued for Lima and Callao, and telephone service was reportedly inactive in the minutes following the quakes.
