June 14, 2013. In Indonesia, Java earthquake sparks panic, no serious damage

A magnitude-6.7 earthquake struck off the coast of the Indonesian island of Java on June 13th, spreading panic and sending people running into the streets in panic, local media said on June 14th. The earthquake struck at 23:47 local time, some 170km (106 miles) east of Australia's Christmas Island. The earthquake tremors were particularly strong in West Java province's Kawalu.
