April 23, 2013. Magnitude-5.8 earthquake hits Mexico's Michoacan state

A magnitude-5.8 earthquake was registered in Mexico 10km (6.2 miles) south of Lazaro Cardenas in Michoacan, local authorities said on April 22nd. The earthquake was also felt in Guerrero, Morelos, and Jalisco states, as well as Mexico City. Power outages occurred in some Mexico City neighborhoods, but no injuries or damages were reported. Mexico's location along the Pacific makes it one of the most seismically active locations in the world.
